Do it with Purpose!

Not to long ago, my son participated in a basketball pick-up game. Halfway during the game, I noticed something just wasn't right.

He moved slow. He lacked energy and seemed nonchalant. "Hey, you are your partner are getting beat pretty bad everytime you go in," I said to him, as he walked over for a quick water break.

"It doesn't matter to me. I don't have nothing to prove. It's whatever," he said as he slow jogged back off.

"Well why are you in the game?" I wanted to scream to him across the gym. "Give your spot to someone that wants to play!"

A few days after the pick-up game, my advice to my son was: From here on out, I want to you to perform your tasks with a purpose. Whether the task is big or small, someone is always taking notice. And that someone is your Heavenly Father who gave you the abilities to do what you do. Show to him you are indeed grateful for his grace and mercy as well as his special gifts to you!

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
